Marisha Ray may be described as the woman who has done it all as far as acting is concerned. She has done theatre acting, voice acting, movies, and a whole lot more. The actress was born in 1989 on May 10, in Louisville, Kentucky. Although there is very little that is known about how she was raised and her family, it is clear that she is close to her father and she has a sister who as at 2018, she said is in high school and as a result of the unending school shootings in the United States, she is already scared for her life.

For her education, the actress went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to sharpen her acting skills. She also attended the Park University in Pittsburgh from where she graduated in 2007. After her studies, she moved to Los Angeles in search of better opportunities, and it was there that she came around to make a name for herself.

Professionally, she began acting at the age of 12 when she took to the theatres as an actress and at the same time, a dancer. It was after this that the Critical Role star decided to go full time as an actress. Over the coming years, she would act in a number of movies and TV series such as Night Out: Vampires (2010), Whoreders (2010), Walk of Shame (2013), How to Survive a Horror Film (2011), and Written by a Kid among many others.

In addition to these, the actress has also done some writings such as Chaotic Awesome and Batgirl: Spoiled. This is in addition to the reality appearances that she has been on and some production works she has done.

Apart from these, the actress has also been involved in a number of commercials in the past including for Little Caesars Pizza, The Hallmark Channel, Mega, and The Buried Life. One of her most important works, however, is the web series, Critical Role in which she is a part of with Matthew Mercer.
