[Idea] Faceset validator

Hi there,

it would be awesome if there was a "faceset validator" that runs through a set of aligned Images (e.g. using sort by face jaw) and validates the result against some kind of list to check, whether there is a good enough variety of different face angles.

The displayed result could be "your faceset contains too less images of angle xyz/view direction" and so on.

What do you think About it?

Would this be difficult to do?

Unfortunately this is not possible (or feasible) in our case. It's too hard to detect what angle images are from. And technically some angles are not required as it depends on your dst video.

I do want to build a webapp for creating facesets though... But that's a whole different story.

Yeah it's a good idea - back over on dfakers.com there was a discussion around interpolating a 3d model from 2d image sets, and someone wrote a script that rotated the model generated on a webpage you could generate the model on and took frames at loads of different angles. The hope being this could generate all the necessary angles for good training - I would still like to understand what that "minimum" set is, rather than chucking in 1000's of potentially unnecessary training images.

I just went back and found a notepad with the links:

So it was this page:

Then there's this script that can be run in a browser add-on
