PR Strategies!
#1
After the devastating bannwave from reditt, gfycat, twitter, discorde and "pornhub" the community lost a lot of its members.
And now with the closing of dpfak.com it happened again i'm afraid the adult deepfake scene won't survive anothe blow like that.
I sadly catched up on deepfakes after the bannwave in january/february, and found VOAT DeepFake, dpfak.com, and this forum pretty soon afterwards.
BUT EVERY TIME i suggested that we should do some advertising, to get deepfakes back on the map, everywone was like no we dont want more puplicaty.
I get that some of you might be afraid of anothe media shittstorm, but it was BECAUSE of the media 100.000 people tuned in.
WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! Or deepfakes WILL DIE!
I`ve heard that PornHub and gfycat are having problems with the bann, we could use this to our advantage!
This thread shall serve as a place to discuss this topic and bring in new ideas.
I will ad new ideas in the future, thank you all.

I agree that the deepfakes community has taken a blow, but I don't think we need to hasten things by "advertising" or generating PR attention. The attention of deepfakes will slowly spread and no doubt media will report about this again, which will bring in more attention and visitors, but for now I think it's a good idea to let the community naturally grow.

Deepfakes will not die. This is now opensource technology and there are active developers. And as long as the tech is available, people will always enjoy porn =P

Someone close this thread before Agent smith balloons this into some giant nonsense like he did on dpfak.

It will only hasten a legal response to the work if advertising is done.
Even without, eventually someone would get raided.

Because having your face play in porn without your consent cant be right.
And what isnt right mustnt be.

Even if the legislation is not there yet to make this illegal, it will come.

So for us, we have to brainstorm how to
1. develop resilience to said events
2. continue honing skills and passing them on
3. realise what Economic potential can be made from it at this point.

What I would like to do is
1. get this website some proper, speedy hosting at digitalocean

2. set up a droplet there where DeepFake creation can be run.

I'd like the 2nd part best.
Once we manage to install the python scripts on a Linux droplet, we can copy that.

And instead of each one of us having to buy hardware, we can let the whole creation process run in the cloud.

And when we are Able to put ANYONEs face on ANYthing in a reasonable time, THEN perhaps we oughts make a request form thingy for the general public. And advertise that.

But of course by then we gotta have a code of Conduct that could be considered fair and moral in a court of law.

So we should work on that one too.

All that BEFORE spending money on advertising. Then I'd rather, like said, invest in some cloud computing every month.
