Some questions (Pretraining)

Hi,

To create custom faceset, I can use either data_src pack utility or data_dst pack utility? Is there a reason there's both if either will work the same? Does it work the same?

Can I pack SFW and NSFW faces together in one faceset.pak OR I should pack SFW with data_src and NSFW with data_dst? And then train them both seperately?

If I want to combine training with build-in faceset with my custom faceset, must I train with build-in faceset till it's well develop first? or I can just continue with custom faceset even if training is not yet sufficient with build-in faceset?

Or maybe I just train with my own faceset solely?

Are faces with glasses/sunglasses really helpful in any way? I've seen a lot in the build-in faceset pack, should I remove them? That goes for things or hair that obstruct face, will that help with training?

Thanks

They do the same. Not sure why there is both src and dst pack options.
You can only pretrain one pak at a time, so put both sfw and nsfw in one.
You can unpack built-in faceset, combine them with yours if you want.
Not sure if glasses is that necessary. I'm too casual to remove them. Same with mask's and hair covering 50% of the face. Just be sure they are aligned correctly and it should not harm your training.

Thanks @"Groggy4"

I might combine my custom faceset with the build-in faceset, it will be around 20k faces. Is that ok or should I keep it around 10k like the guide mentioned?

How about training with build-in first then train with custom faceset? I already trained for 100k with the build-in faceset but it's still not clear yet, can I resume with my custom faceset from there? or it's better to train till the faces are clear enough before moving on to train with my custom faceset? or it doesn't matter? I will finish it with my faceset anyway

Thanks

My pretrain set is around 9500. And it includes everything from celebA, FFHQ and custom stuff. You will find a link mid page here that have only females from FFHQ. https://mrdeepfakes.com/forums/thre...nd-custom-pretraining-datasets-sharing-thread
Having more faces takes longer, at least when combining random flip. It is really up to you to decide how much time you wanna spend on training.
Sure you could train first with built in, then move over to your own. But I still think it's better to customize one to use.
