HaDenGUp-scaling the frames and removing blur using Topaz A.I. Gigapixel
#31
I've used the software but trying to process thousands of frames... painful

It is pretty good software though

In my test I can process a single frame in about 9-10 seconds from merged.. that's a bit too much

This is using a 1080 Turbo that is overclocked =) .. original frames are 1080 and I just scaled them by 1.5

I admit the result is pretty amazing though, so it might be worth letting it run for a few hours while I'm at work on a finished project.. it clears up all of the blur

Very impressive software, I used on some src files that were a bit blurry (using 'Resize by Width; 256 Pixels') and I got some good results. Even the ones that are not that blurry got enhanced, I'll make some tests but I guess i'll use on my whole src alligned folder.

Looks like the versions 4.3.x and 4.4.x are bugged with 508 images crash. I'm using the 4.2.2 and it did 10k images without crashing. Also, you can go to advanced settings and put memory consumption to High, it will make process a bit faster.

I did the mistake of using a long video to test this, from now on i'm only using for close-up scenes (convert in 360p/480p/540p and then using GigaPixel to make it 720p/1080p).

My test:

Original 540p

Upscaled 1080p

If clearing blur is all you want you don't need to scale them. Press the button "x" on the left panel to customize the scale ratio then enter 1.
It will process the image but won't scale it.

If you are using the latest versions be sure to check options to enable GPU and set "High" for memory consumption. It will dramatically increase speed.
