IM Yoon-ah (임윤아) or better known as Yoona is a South Korean singer and actress. Her fame is most known for being a member of the girl group Girls' Generation (SNSD), where she debuted in 2007. Yoona has played roles in many television dramas such as "You Are My Destiny" in 2008, or "Love Rain" in 2012.

As a child, she always listened to the girl group S.E.S and dreamt about becoming a famous singer. She constantly trained in singing and dancing despite having low self-esteem about her low voice. Vocally, Yoona is not known to have a wide vocal range; however many have stated she has a sweet voice, and outstanding dancing skills. She began modelling as early as age fourteen before starting her singing career at age seventeen.
